Privacy Policy
What little we collect, why, and how to have it removed. Written to be read rather than skimmed.

Golden Trail Group is an editorial site. There is no account to create, no booking to make and no payment to take, which means there is very little for us to collect in the first place. This page describes what there is.
Analytics
We use basic, aggregate web analytics to see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from — country-level, not street-level. This tells us whether the ice hotels page is worth expanding. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not attempt to build a profile of individual visitors or link visits across other sites.
If you write to us at the address on the contact page, we keep your message and your email address for as long as it takes to deal with it, and usually a while after that so we can follow up on a correction. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list without being asked. If we ever offer an email update, joining will be an explicit opt-in and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
Cookies
The site does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking. Any cookie set is functional or analytical, and you can block cookies in your browser without breaking anything here.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. There is no circumstance in which we would.
- We do not share your email with hotels, advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not ask for personal details we have no use for — no phone numbers, no addresses, no dates of birth.
Removal and access
Write to editors@goldentrailgroup.com and ask us to delete what we hold about you, or to tell you what that is. We will do it, and we will not require a form, a reason or a verification process beyond confirming that you control the address in question.

Where we link to a hotel's own site, that site has its own privacy practices, which we neither control nor endorse. This policy stops at our domain.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
